Class Descriptions

Essential Hatha – Improve your overall health and well being while building strength, stamina, and body awareness. Learn, or return to, the foundations of yoga postures, by focusing on alignment. This class incorporates the use of props to aid in comfort. Allow your body, mind, and breath to come together to restore energy, reduce stress, increase strength, and flexibility. (Beginner/Level 1)

Gentle Yoga – Includes flowing movement, breathing techniques, balance, and light strengthening. This class is designed to gently open the body, relieve stress, and deepen the mind/body connection. Focus is on honoring our bodies with the use of props and modifications to accommodate individual practices. A great class option for beginners and individuals that enjoy a relaxed pace. (Beginner/Level 1)

Align & Flow – A bit of alignment and a bit of flow. We move and breathe, pause and feel, observe and adjust. Class is designed around the alignment principles of a specific pose or groups of poses that are meant to educate the body and mind in a meaningful way. Appropriate for all levels of practice. Modifications and variations are offered to make it accessible. (Beginner/Level 1)

Slow Stretch – This is a grounded stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings, and back. Expect to enjoy gentle twists, back-bending and forward bending, lateral stretches, and shoulder openers during this class. (Beginner/Level 1)

Essential Flow – Integrating movement and breath, this class is for everybody – beginner to regular practitioner. Includes twists, backbends, and approachable inversions. Be prepared to explore both beginning and intermediate postures. Modifications are given allowing you to choose the level of practice according to your needs. (Open Level)

Rise & Shine Yoga– When it comes to the best way to start your day, you really can’t beat doing yoga with the sun rising in the background. An hour-long yoga class first thing in the morning gives your body a chance to wake up physically and your mind the opportunity to reset from yesterday. Get ready to tackle the day! (Open Level)

Candlelight Flow – Unwind from the week and reconnect with your breath and body during a gentle vinyasa flow in a calming candlelight setting. This class is perfect for clearing out clutter in our minds and tension in our bodies. (Open Level) *offered Oct – Mar*

Yin –Yin yoga is a quiet, meditative practice with long, deep holding of passive poses. Using mindful muscle relaxation, yin postures target the connective tissue nourishing joints, ligaments, and fascia promoting the healthy flow of chi (energy). The Yin practice is a wonderful compliment to more vigorous yoga practices or activities such as running, cycling, and hiking. The practice is suitable and encouraged for all levels of practitioners. Meditation – Cultivating mindfulness through meditation can help improve our overall wellbeing and physical and mental health.
Shifting our thoughts away from our usual preoccupations, meditation opens the door to an appreciation of the moment and a larger perspective on life. We are then able to achieve a greater sense of awareness, wisdom, introspection, and a deeper sense of relaxation. Your instructor will lead you through a 30 minute guided meditation. (Open Level)
