Class Descriptions

Essential Hatha – Improve your overall health and well being while building strength, stamina, and body awareness. Learn, or return to, the foundations of yoga postures, by focusing on alignment. This class incorporates the use of props to aid in comfort. Allow your body, mind, and breath to come together to restore energy, reduce stress, increase strength, and flexibility. (Beginner/Level 1)

Gentle Yoga – Includes flowing movement, breathing techniques, balance, and light strengthening. This class is designed to gently open the body, relieve stress, and deepen the mind/body connection. Focus is on honoring our bodies with the use of props and modifications to accommodate individual practices. A great class option for beginners and individuals that enjoy a relaxed pace. (Beginner/Level 1)

Vinyasa l – A step up from our Gentle Yoga Class. Linking breath to movement, this class offers a slow-paced flow. You will be led through standing, balance, and seated postures throughout the sequence with plenty of modification options, including the use of props. You may be introduced to breathing techniques and meditation. (Level 1)

Essential Flow – Integrating movement and breath, this class is for everybody – beginner to regular practitioner. Includes twists, backbends, and approachable inversions. Be prepared to explore both beginning and intermediate postures. Modifications are given allowing you to choose the level of practice according to your needs. (Open Level)

Vinyasa ll – This class offers a faster paced flow, explores more complex sequences and movements, contains longer holds, and incorporates introductions to arm balances and inversions. This class is targeted towards intermediate practitioners, but all experience levels are welcome to explore, grow, and evolve their practice in Vinyasa ll. (Level 2)

Align & Flow – A bit of alignment and a bit of flow. We move and breathe, pause and feel, observe and adjust. Class is designed around the alignment principles of a specific pose or groups of poses that are meant to educate the body and mind in a meaningful way. Appropriate for all levels of practice. Modifications and variations are offered to make it accessible. (Beginner/Level 1)

Rise & Shine Yoga– When it comes to the best way to start your day, you really can’t beat doing yoga with the sun rising in the background. An hour-long yoga class first thing in the morning gives your body a chance to wake up physically and your mind the opportunity to reset from yesterday. Get ready to tackle the day! (Beginner/Level 1)

Candlelight Flow – Unwind from the week and reconnect with your breath and body during a gentle vinyasa flow in a calming candlelight setting. This class is perfect for clearing out clutter in our minds and tension in our bodies. (Level 1) *offered during Winter months only*

YINyasa – A powerful blend of the dynamic Yang style vinyasa fused with the Yin style of long-held passive postures. You will receive both the strengthening and invigoration benefits of a vinyasa flow, and the calming deep stretch of a meditation-like yin practice. This class will leave you feeling both relaxed and rejuvenated. (Level 1 – 2)

Mindfullness Meditation – Cultivating mindfulness through meditation can help improve our overall wellbeing and physical and mental health.
Shifting our thoughts away from our usual preoccupations, meditation opens the door to an appreciation of the moment and a larger perspective on life. We are then able to achieve a greater sense of awareness, wisdom, introspection, and a deeper sense of relaxation. Your instructor will lead you through a 30 minute guided meditation. (Open Level)
